About Beyond Homes
Welcome to Beyond Homes, a complimentary resident services program offered by Abode Communities! Through this program, Abode Communities works to transform the lives of families and individuals by:
- Empowering youth to achieve their academic and personal goals
- Building adult capacity to achieve their personal and financial goals
- Creating linkages that build networks of support and provide access to publicly available resources
- Supporting and stabilizing residents in times of crisis
Our Approach
Typically, Beyond Homes is offered in resident centers, after-school program rooms, and computer labs located right within your residential community. For school-age youth and young adults, in-person programming includes after-school support, homework help, college preparation assistance and planning, social and emotional learning opportunities, and recreational programs that occur Monday through Thursday from 3:30 – 6:00 PM.
A flexible social service model for adults and seniors is adjusted to meet the specific needs of each resident. This programming includes, and is not limited to, 1:1 case management services, educational workshops, referrals for specialized services, and group social and recreational opportunities.
During the Pandemic
Abode Communities recognizes this is a challenging time for everyone. We are actively monitoring the COVID-19 crisis with the hopes to return to in-person programming as soon as it is reasonably safe. Until then, we remain deeply committed to ensuring you and your family’s safety within our residential developments, as well as meeting your continued service needs through Beyond Homes.
We have officially transitioned to a virtual service delivery model to ensure programming offered through Beyond Homes can continue. In the coming months, you’ll see even more content and opportunities to grow, learn, and connect.
